Learning, Acting and Building for Rehabilitation in Health Systems

Poor access to rehabilitation and assistive technology is an ongoing barrier to universal health care. The situation is exacerbated when countries experience shocks including conflict, where many people require support for newly-acquired impairments, trauma, and consequences from disruption of care for chronic conditions.

Through this webinar, ReLAB-HS seeks to highlight experiences, evidence and current trends that demand a continued focus on rehabilitation in acute conflict situations as well as the development of health systems that are responsive to shocks and surges, in which rehabilitation is integrated at all levels. The webinar will emphasize the role of leadership at all levels in driving reforms.

This discussion is timely as the World Rehabilitation Alliance comes to life, bringing together a global network of stakeholders under the auspices of the World Health Organization, with a view to catalyze efforts and join forces for effective advocacy.
