ReLAB-HS Publishes Guidance Note “Using the World Health Assembly Resolution as a tool to strengthen local and national advocacy for rehabilitation”
A landmark resolution, “Strengthening rehabilitation in health systems” (WHA 76.6), was adopted by World Health Organization (WHO) Member States at the World Health Assembly (WHA) in May 2023.
As the first international instrument specifically dedicated to rehabilitation, the Resolution outlines a set of commitments for Member States, the WHO, and other stakeholders to uphold their role in mainstreaming rehabilitation services within health systems.

The Guidance Note is now available on the ReLAB-HS website. In addition, there is a short introductory video and a survey to help readers identify the most relevant section(s) of the Guidance Note, according to the contexts where they advocate.
We hope that this Guidance Note will be a useful tool for anyone who wants to advocate for better quality, more accessible, affordable, and available rehabilitation services in their countries.
