Johns Hopkins – Burma

The ReLAB-HS prime, Johns Hopkins International Injury Research Unit, has a longstanding working relationship with key stakeholders in Burma. Many Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health centers, including the Center for Global Health, Center for Communication Programs and Center for Humanitarian Health, have collaborated with various entities in the country. These partnerships have focused on finding mutual solutions relevant to Burma’s context and developing local capacity. Projects include providing a continuum of care for people living with HIV, social and behavior change programs targeting various communicable and non-communicable diseases, Asia Pacific Research for Mental Health Services as well as a needs assessment for Burma’s health information systems to improve the flow and quality of data.
